Raised in Stephenville, Texas, Desiree A. Hartwigsen embarked on her legal journey at Tarleton State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. She then accelerated her legal education by completing her Juris Doctor at Texas A&M University School of Law two years ahead of schedule.
Desiree's academic career was marked by global exposure; she studied Comparative Criminal Justice at Queen Mary's University in London and delved into International Criminal Law and International Terrorism during her studies in the Netherlands. Initially, Desiree's legal practice focused on criminal defense, but she quickly found her passion in family law, where she has vigorously advocated for her clients across a broad spectrum of issues divorce, child custody, child support, adoption, termination, and temporary restraining orders.
Currently serving as the Managing Attorney at the firm, Desiree plays a crucial role in shaping the firm's future. She leads initial consultations, offering prospective clients clear, strategic legal advice tailored to their specific situations. Additionally, she oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm, ensuring that processes run smoothly and that the firm maintains high standards of client service and legal excellence.
Outside of her professional commitments, Desiree is an avid reader, enjoys gardening and off-roading, and supports her husband's motocross endeavors. She is a dedicated family woman, often spending quality time outdoors with her family and dogs. An avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, Desiree eagerly awaits the fall season each year to support her favorite team, dedicating her Sundays to football and family.
