Mike McEntire is Of Counsel and a Senior Litigator with the firm who primarily conducts the telephone consultations with potential new clients scheduled through our website and office staff.
Licensed by the State Bar of Texas and in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Texas since 1982, Mike has practiced law in his hometown of Fort Worth and surrounding counties his entire career. A 1981 honors graduate of St. Mary’s Law School, Mike began his law journey as the Briefing Attorney for the Chief Justice of the Second Court of Appeals, was then a partner with his father, Rex McEntire, for twenty years, and continued as a solo practitioner with an emphasis in Family Law for over twenty more years before joining the Law Office of Mark M. Childress.
Additionally, Mike was the City Attorney and Prosecutor for 14 local municipalities for 25 years. A veteran of over 200 jury trials, Mike has extensive experience in family, civil, criminal, real estate, probate and personal injury law. This background provides potential clients the assurance that their family law and other potential matters will be well analyzed and properly directed on behalf of the firm from the first consultation phone call through the conclusion of the case, with assistance and advice as needed by the other talented litigators at the Law Office of Mark M. Childress.
Mike is the proud father of two sons and two granddaughters. Mike is also an avid hiker, reader, gardener, local professional sports fan and chef who has cooked in competitive chili contests for many years. He continues his passion for learning by working on his PhD in German History at UTA.
