Rick J. Mitchell
Accomplished Attorney Specializing in Family Law & Personal Injury
Rick J. Mitchell earned his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 2001, where he was a two-time member of the Dean’s List. Since then, he has built a distinguished legal career, gaining recognition as a "Top Attorney" in Fort Worth Magazine, 360 West Magazine, and Southlake Style. His firm has also been named a Three Best-Rated Firm since 2022.
Rick began his private practice in 2001 after clerking and interning for a trial attorney in Tulsa, Oklahoma. With over two decades of experience, he has participated in both jury and non-jury trials across a wide range of legal areas, including family law, personal injury, civil litigation, medical malpractice, insurance bad faith, and probate. Rick is an expert at handling high-asset divorces, complex jurisdictional issues, and modifications, while still actively litigating civil matters.
Rick is trained in Collaborative Divorce and is active in the Tarrant County Collaborative Divorce Bar. He encourages clients to explore collaborative and alternative dispute resolution methods such as mediation but is equally prepared to bring extensive trial experience to cases that require litigation.
