Attorney Sarah M. Blake
Litigation Attorney in Fort Worth, TX
Sarah grew up in various places around the country, but has always called Houston, Texas home. Sarah attended the University of Tulsa where she rowed on the varsity crew team, played competitive league volleyball and double majored in Biology and Chemistry. After graduation, she worked on a master’s degree in Genetics for a year before a friend convinced her to take the law school entrance exams.
Sarah completed law school at South Texas College of Law where she clerked for the Honorable Judge Wood in Probate Court No. 2 and practiced for a year and a half with the South Texas College of Law Legal Clinic. Working with the legal clinic is where her interest in family law began. Sarah initially practiced in high-stakes plaintiff’s litigation on the state and federal level around the country, gaining vital courtroom and trial experience. She also served as in-house counsel and managing litigation attorney for several large corporations before turning her attention to a full-time family law practice.
Her diverse legal background gives Sarah the ability to approach each case as not just another family law matter, but rather as a unique set of facts and circumstances specific to that family. Sarah strongly believes that most family law matters are best resolved with minimal court intervention, allowing for the family to make the best decisions possible for their situation. She also understands that some situations require or need court intervention. In these situations, Sarah is a strong advocate for her clients with the skills necessary to succeed in the courtroom. She prides herself in honest and open communication with her clients in guiding them through the entire legal process, regardless of what that may look like.
In her spare time Sarah enjoys time with her family which includes six “doggy kids”, spending time outdoors and traveling as much as possible. She is a diehard Houston Astros baseball fan and looks forward to baseball season every year, attending as many Astros and Rangers games as possible. Sarah is actively involved in her Keller area community serving over 300 volunteer hours in 2023. She is most actively involved with The Cindy Ramsey Resource Center through the MET Church which feeds approximately 1500 people a week. She also gives her time to several animal rescue groups and fosters Rottweilers in need.
